Chris Gray

Chris set up The Rise Up Project in August 2021. He has a passion for musicals and loves to sing but struggled with his confidence so wasn't able to enjoy his hobby to the fullest. He wanted to start a group where people like him could come together and sing without fear of judgement. He found that doing this not only raised his own confidence but dramatically improved his mental health as well as making life long friends. Chris went from feeling unable to sing infront of a vocal coach to auditioning and getting a part in Grease the musical at Darlington Hippodrome. He is living proof of the difference The Rise Up Project can make to people which has really driven his passion for the project.
